The AIM Polunsky project is pushing hard to be fully-funded — the importance of raising the remaining funds to complete the Chapel cannot be overstated. As of Q1 of 2026, donors like you have met 94% of our goal to complete the project!
Our sole purpose remains to raise the necessary funds to build a worship center, classroom, library and office space for the church within the walls to gather for worship, education and discipleship. Also to build a community of believers from the churches around the Southeast Texas region that will love, support, and encourage the community of believers living inside the walls of the Polunsky Unit. We aim to further the ministry of the church within the walls of Polunsky Unit by providing opportunities for Church leadership to gain Biblical knowledge and ministry training.
We are so excited to be part of the ministry that God is already doing in the community at the Allan B. Polunsky Unit of TDCJ, to advance the Kingdom of God. You can be part of this worthy goal as well!
The original chapel at Polunsky has a maximum capacity of 75 men. Because of the growth of various ministries here, inmates quickly outgrew the chapel and began meeting at a gym Sunday mornings. Seating capacity is often exceeded and men must be turned away. Even after adding a second Saturday service, attendance has amazingly grown beyond capacity.
Polunsky Unit’s upcoming worship center provides enough room for over 500 inmates!
More men will be able to worship at a designated time while remaining segregated to an assigned area; with new classrooms for Bible study, life classes and Kairos. There are now close to 100 classes for inmates looking to become better men, fathers, brothers, and citizens.
Here you will find several ways to give to fund AIM Polunsky. Your donation is tax deductible. Thank you.
